13th Annual
Christmas Tea

For the 13th year, the Church of Presentation’s Christmas Tea provides time out of the usual hustle and bustle of the season to focus on the real meaning of Christmas, and to enjoy time with favorite family and friends. While we are unable to gather everyone under one roof this year, we have the opportunity to connect many more women from far and wide. Whether you bring together those in your home, or invite those friends from across the country to join virtually.

Music and Prayer

Have a candle and matches ready to participate in closing prayer, bringing us together as we celebrate the season.

Gift Giving

Each year guests are asked to donate a gift card for the homeless mothers and their babies at Raphael’s Life House, a part of Covenant House. This year, we are providing this link to make donations directly to Raphael’s Life House Covenant House New Jersey.  We thank you in advance for your generosity, which is much needed and will bring joy to them this holiday season!

History of the Christmas Tea

Each year a hostess purchases a table to seat eight or ten at the cost of $10 per seat.  The hostess invites family and/or friends to fill her table and share the evening.  Each table is decorated as festively as the hostess would do at home, savory and sweet dishes are prepared for sharing with a favorite beverage.  The evening begins at 7:00PM with an inspiring talk by a woman of our parish, and then moving to the beautiful tables.  The year 2020 has changed the way we celebrate special occasions, and the way to share most of those occasions has become virtual.  Our Christmas Tea is no exception, and in some way, we see this as a positive.  We do not have to restrict the number of guests!!
