Ambassadors for Peace: Led by Brother Émile from Taizé, France, we will meditate on being a sign of peace, unity, and hope for the world. Come experience the power of praying in community and learn from Brother Roger – friend of Popes and Saints, and most of all, friend of young people and the poor.

 Sunday Oct. 25 at 7:30pm: Taizé Prayer Service: Through song and Scripture, together with Brother Émile and the Presentation Music Ministry, we will seek the heart of God within us, listen to our community’s youth, and cultivate inner peace so we can carry the peace of Christ to all we meet.

Monday Oct. 26 at 7:30pm: Brother Émile will present “Learning from Brother Roger, the Founder of the Taizé Community – Key Words in His Life.”

The Taizé Community, a monastic community in the Burgundy region of France, was founded in 1940 by a young Swiss man named Brother Roger to shelter refugees during World War II and promote reconciliation and unity among different Christian denominations. Today, the Taizé community comprises approximately 80 brothers from diverse Christian traditions and geographical backgrounds. Each year, tens of thousands of teens and young adults travel to Taizé to share in prayer, silence, and fellowship. They then bring the ethos of unity and peacemaking back to their own communities.
