UNPLANNED PREGNANCY:
An Unplanned Pregnancy raises difficult questions. If you or someone you know has concerns about bringing a new life into this world there are a number of local resources that can answer your questions and provide you with both spiritual and material support. It is hoped that this information will be helpful to anyone seeking assistance concerning a current or future unplanned pregnancy.
GENERAL PREGNANCY, ADOPTION & ULTRASOUND SERVICES:
The following organizations offer a variety of helpful services in assisting a pregnant mom who wishes to carry a baby to term. Some services are also available for fathers who support the birth of their child:
BIRTHRIGHT of Rockland County, Nanuet, NY 845-623-9098. and BIRTHRIGHT of Bergen County, Maywood 201-845-4646. They provide free pregnancy and prenatal tests, maternity and baby clothing, adoption information, and education on the different stages of pregnancies and other community resources.

CO-WORKERS OF LIFE, NYC 212-737-0221. The group includes volunteers from all walks of life who share their time and talents in service to pregnant women in need. The help covers, housing, health needs, visitation coordinators, prayer guardians, business professionals, lawyers, education specialists and people who will help with furniture needs.

NEW HOPE, Woodcliff Lake-201-641-4155, 201-391-6431, They help with the cost of ultrasounds and refer pregnant women to Catholic doctors who have offered to do an ultrasound for free or reduced charge. Each new mom is offered the option of adoption. If the choice is not to place the baby for adoption. There is counseling help, and if funds allow, assistance with education, housing, and day care. A new facility in Bergenfield may be opening in late 2010.
