RCIA / Catechumenate
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), also known as the Catechumenate, is the Catholic Church's welcoming invitation to non-Catholic men and women curious about Catholic belief and practice. The Catecumenate also guides the inquirer to full sacramental membership in the Catholic Church (by celebrating the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and First Eucharist) if he or she desires this. A team of parishioners serve as sponsors and catechists for these adults, providing many opportunities for inquirers to experience Church community, prayer, beliefs, and service.
Included within the Catechumenate is the Catechumenate of Young People which helps non-Catholics in the third through twelfth grades who desire to know and experience more about the Catholic Church.
Inquiry Sessions begin in September.
