Peace and Justice
The Peace and Justice Ministry strives to engage people
in reflecting upon their life and circumstances in light
of the Gospel call to justice. The ministry provides
educational opportunities about justice issues and
enables people to respond in Christian action. One activity
of this ministry is Letter Writing Sunday. On periodic
Sundays, parishioners are invited to write letters to the
members of Congress asking them to support U.S. legislation
that will help the poor and hungry people in the U.S. and
abroad. Background information and sample letters are
provided at the Letter Writing Table and in the Sunday
Bulletin.
The Ministry publishes "Social Justice Notes" monthly in our parish bulletin and sponsors various events throughout the year.
If you would like to get involved in our ministry or have any questions about the events we coordinate at Presentation, feel free to contact Betty Begley at 845-357-8919 or by email to: bethbeg@aol.com
