“Whoever sings prays twice” – St. Augustine

~Adult Choir rehearsals resume on Tuesday, September 13, at 7:30pm in the Church. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings for about two hours and generally sing at the 11:30 Mass on Sunday morning.

~Children’s Choir (grades 3-8) begins Tuesday, September 13 at 4:00pm in the Church. The children sing at the 10:00am Family Liturgy (usually on the first Sunday of each month) and at special masses during the year.

~Sunday Evening Contemporary Ensemble rehearses at 5:45pm each Sunday in Meeting Rm. 4 (up the stairs at the back of the auditorium) for that evening’s 6:30pm Mass. Anyone who would like to sing as well as proficient instrumentalists are welcome to join us beginning Sunday, September 25.

Good music is a necessary and integral part of the celebration of the Liturgy in the Catholic tradition (Sacrosanctum Concilium, 112).

Here at Presentation our staff and parishioners cherish this long tradition and work hard to enhance the prayer of the community with music worthy of the liturgy.

Under the leadership of our Director of Music there are many opportunities both to enjoy various types of liturgical music as well as opportunities to participate in our various music ministries.
