Hour with Jesus / Eucharistic Adoration
Wednesdays: noon to 9:00pm in the Chapel
Some may ask “why do we need Eucharistic Adoration if we regularly receive Holy Communion?” To quote the late Mother Teresa, “the time you spend with Jesus in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament is the best time you will spend on earth.” Eucharistic Adoration is a means of further enriching the reception of the Eucharist at Mass. What a precious gift.
It is comforting to know that prayers are offered each week for one of the Church’s ministries, for the clergy and staff and for the special intentions of parishioners. Each week our bulletin lists the ministry that will be prayed for in the upcoming week.
A number of parishioners faithfully attend at a scheduled time and we are looking for someone cover a late afternoon or early evening time (from 15 minutes up to an hour). Please call Tom Farley at 201-825-3797 for more information.
People are asked to sign up for one or more hours to pray
in the presence of the Eucharist.
