Homeless Ministry
This ministry attempts to share the many gifts of our faith community to alleviate the plight of homeless and needy people of Bergen County in collaboration with the Inter-Religious Fellowship for the homeless of Bergen County. Every Wednesday during the months of July and August, we feed and house our brothers and sisters who do not have a place to live. Meals are provided by members of the parish. In addition, we help staff St. Cecilia's Shelter on the third Saturday morning of each month as well as on volunteer basis. Food is prepared and served by members of our parish.
Furniture is also collected, stored and then delivered to families who, through the efforts of the Inter-Religious fellowship are eventually able to transition into an apartment.

Helping the Homeless: Summer 2008
Summer Homeless Outreach Program
Presentation will host up to ten adults overnight at the church on Wednesday evenings during July and August. This program is run in cooperation with the Interreligious Fellowship for the Homeless of Bergen County. Volunteers are needed to prepare and serve a meal at about 7:00pm. We also need volunteers to prepare a continental breakfast (usually bagels, toast, cereal, coffee and juice), and brown bag lunches. We also need two people to stay overnight each Wednesday. Our guests arrive at about 6pm and leave at 7am. Training will be provided for anyone who volunteers.

50-50 raffle for Interreligious Fellowship for the Homeless (IRF)
The IRF provides food and shelter for homeless families in Bergen county. Many of our parishioners are very familiar with their work. The IRF is experiencing serious financial hardship. A main fund raiser is a raffle called a SUPER 50-50 which will be held on Monday June 16. Tickets for the raffle are $100.00 each. Only 1000 tickets are sold. First prize is $25,000 (0r 25% of the proceeds). Second Prize is $5,000 or 5% of the proceeds. There are 20 third prizes of $1,000 or 1% of the proceeds. You have a better than one in 50 chance of winning. In previous years several Presentation parishioners have been winners.
Members of Presentation's Homeless Ministry will be selling raffle tickets after all the Masses on the weekend of May 31-June 1. You can pay by cash, check or credit card.
