First Eucharist
First Eucharist is offered to children in the second grade and older and who have been baptized. The preparation happens at home within the family setting. We expect that all families involved attend our weekend liturgies regularly. At an introductory parents' meeting, materials for AT-HOME INSTRUCTION are distributed. The resources we provide help you to prepare your child for the celebration of the Sacrament held during the Easter Season. The children participate in retreat days and parents attend parent sessions in order to help prepare their children for First Eucharist.
Children who have been baptized, who are entering 2nd grade in the Fall and have completed their first year of Faith Formation (either here at Presentation or elsewhere) are welcome to celebrate First Eucharist in the Easter Season of 2012.
