First Eucharist
First Eucharist is offered to children in the second grade and older. The preparation happens at home within the family setting. We expect that all families involved attend our weekend liturgies regularly. At an introductory parents' meeting, materials for AT-HOME INSTRUCTION are distributed. The resources we provide help you to prepare your child for the celebration of the Sacrament held during the Easter Season. The children participate in retreat days and parents attend parent sessions in order to help prepare their children for First Eucharist. Please contact Lori Birdsall at ext. 15 to begin the process.
For those planning to celebrate First Eucharist in the Easter Season of 2009, information will be distributed at a parent meeting scheduled on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 (10:00am & repeated 7:00pm)
