Catechumenate
The Catechumenate (also known as the Rite of Christian
Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the Catholic Church’s
welcoming invitation to non-Catholic men and women
curious about Catholic belief and practice. The Catecumenate
also guides the inquirer to full sacramental membership
in the Catholic Church (by celebrating the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and First Eucharist) if he or she desires this. A
team of parishioners serve as sponsors and catechists
for these adults, providing many opportunities for
inquirers to experience Church community, prayer, beliefs,
and service.
Included within the Catechumenate is the
Catechumenate of Young People which helps non-Catholics
in the third through twelfth grades who desire to know
and experience more about the Catholic Church.
Inquiry Sessions
begin in September.
Join us if:
You are an adult or child who has never been baptized;
You are a baptized adult from another Christian tradition
considering joining the Catholic Church; or
You are an adult Catholic who has never received the
Sacraments of Confirmation &/or First Eucharist.
