Confirmation for Teens
The Sacrament of Confirmation is the final step to full
initiation into the Catholic community. The preparation
process is offered to teenagers in their sophomore
through senior years of high school who are willing
to continue to explore their faith in the Catholic
Christian tradition. As a sign of God’s love
to the candidate and the community, this Sacrament
and its preparation calls the participants to reflect
further on their relationship and experience with Jesus
Christ in their lives. During the process, candidates
are further introduced to our Christian community and
strengthened for discipleship by participating in Learning Sessions with their Sponsor, reconciliation, outreach to others and parish community involvement.
As the participants
in their children’s faith journey, parents are
also encouraged during this time to renew their faith
by participating in our spiritual enrichment or continuing
