What is a Freshman/Sophomore Retreat?
The weekend is a combination of spiritual enrichment and community building.
It involves talks, discussion, prayer and recreation. It is an awesome faith-filled weekend!
Who is this Retreat for? Presentation’s Retreat is for any teenager of any faith tradition who are either Freshman and Sophomores in High School. Registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Who runs the Retreat?
The Retreat is conducted by a trained team of High School Juniors and Seniors with the support of Adults. The Directors of the Retreat are High School Seniors. The Retreat is under the leadership of our Youth Minister, Catzel L. Bumpus.
Where is the Retreat held and how much does it cost?
The Freshman/Sophomore Retreat is held at the beautiful Warwick Retreat Center in Warwick, NY. Accommodations for sleeping will be five or six teenagers, a teen team member and an adult chaperone of the same sex per room. The Retreat Center facilities include hiking trails and other scenic sights. The cost of the entire weekend is $130 per person. Your payment, along with your application/parental permission slip, is requested to hold your place. Make your check payable to Church of the Presentation and send it in to the Youth Ministry office as soon as possible.
When is the Retreat going to be held? The retreat weekend is:

The bus will leave Presentation’s parking lot at 6:00pm. Candidates are asked to arrive no later than 5:30pm on Friday, November 9. We will have pizza for dinner at the retreat center..
Parents are asked to meet their child for the Closing in the Church on:
Sunday, November 11 at approximately 3:30pm at Church of the Presentation (this is not a Mass)
What do I bring with me? Comfortable clothes, Sleeping bag/pillow, Towels, Sneakers/hiking shoes, Soap/shampoo, Toothbrush, Jacket, Sweatshirt, Snacks to share
Please leave walkmen, iPods, and other electronics that detract from community interaction at home! Cell phones, if brought, should be used only for emergencies.
