Parish Community Events. The Schedule for these events may be found on page 2 of the Registration Form.

Family Movie Night - This evening offers families the opportunity to gather together and watch a family friendly movie. The evening concludes with discussion.

God in Nature Hike - This event takes place in the Ramapo mountains in Mahwah, NJ . What a wonderful time to slow down and connect to Nature through simple prayers and times spent together as a family. No previous hiking experience is necessary.

Hunger Banquet - An evening designed to raise awareness of the dire situation regarding world poverty and what can be done to help. All countries are represented this evening and it gives us a chance to see how blessed we are to live in the United States of America. An evening meal is the central part of this Banquet.

Liturgical New Year - Everybody loves a party. Our children understand New Years Eve but seldom get to celebrate it. This is a new twist because we are celebrating the Church’s new year. Join us for a fun evening filled with food and music.

Manger Set-Up - Set up our Church’s outdoor life-size Nativity scene. What a great way for the children to learn more about the Holy Family.

Pardon & Peace - This is our Parish communal reconciliation service. Through songs, readings and faith sharing we come closer to God.

Decorate Church - Each season our worship space is decorated with the colors of the season. This day offers families the opportunity to witness and be part of this important ritual action. Families will learn why we do what we do in our worship space.

Parish Feast Day - Come celebrate our Parish feast day to learn more about who we are and why we are called Presentation.

Mardi Gras - Our Parish celebrates Fat Tuesday with our Annual Mardi Gras celebration. It is a great way for our children to better understand the Lenten Season with crafts, songs, ice cream and prizes.

Ash Wed. Soup Supper - our traditional Soup Supper is held after the 5:00 pm. mass and prior to the 7:30 pm. mass. It is a simple meal of soup and bread. What a special time for our families to get together and enrich our own lives through this Lenten experience.

Passover Supper/Seder - This a time when we gather our families together to recreate the Passover meal and see how it parallels Jesus’ last supper on Holy Thursday.

Family Stations of the Cross- We gather together as families to pray the stations as one. Through simple prayers geared towards the children who will be praying the stations aloud.

Family Reconciliation Evening- Saying I’m sorry is difficult for many. Through this hands- on presentation, the children will learn to embrace this sacrament though prayers and ritual action.

Bicycle Stations of the Cross- We gather here at Presentation, and cycle to 6 local parishes of different denominations and reflect on two Stations at each church. By the conclusion of our Pilgrimage, the bikers travel over 12 miles.

Stations of the Cross - We remember the passion and death of Jesus through the powerful reenactment of the crucifixion of Christ led by our Youth Ministry teens.

Triduum Prayer Service - This event is held during the 3 holiest days of our church year. This service is lead by our fellow parishioners through song, prayer and reflection.
