Prostate Cancer Support

LifeLines, a supportive and informative resource for prostate cancer patients and their partners in Northern Bergen County, usually meets on the last Tuesday of the month at Presentation from 7:45-9:00 p.m. in Meeting Room 4. The group was formed by prostate cancer patients to share information and experience about available treatment and service resources. 

“LifeLines is also intensely mindful that the ultimate choice of physician and treatment lies with the individual, based on his own particular circumstances,” notes Rich Small, one of its founders. “We do not offer or give medical advice, only insight, information and support based on our own experiences,” he adds, noting that research has shown that peer support groups, during critical health crises, may improve both survival rate and quality of life.
